Its proprietary Korean Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system, ST-KMS (STraffic KTCS-M eXtended), is a core solution designed for the advanced operation of urban railways. The system features independently developed hardware and software across both onboard and wayside components. In addition, ST-KMS has achieved SIL4, the highest level of safety integrity certification in Korea, ensuring exceptional system safety and reliability.

A core component of the ETCS Level 2-based train control system, the RBC generates Movement Authority based on train position information and ensures safe train separation.

STraffic has developed the RBC system leveraging its LTE-R communication technology and extensive experience in conventional signaling systems. The solution is designed to be scalable and adaptable, with future expansion toward an integrated train control solution applicable to diverse railway environments.
